I will admit, the sign that just said “Sexy Coffee” pointing to this coffee stand did almost throw me off a little bit, but, we found the right place! I was heading out for a hike with my coffee shop buddy and three pups between the two of us, and we needed some caffeine, so we stopped at Grindhouse in North Portland. Grindhouse is more of a coffee hut than a shop; on their website they say they have “everything from your not-so-average cup of joe to your lattes, cappuccinos and cold-brew coffees.” They use beans from Extracto (a very popular roast apparently!). The shop serves standard espresso drinks/a few snacks (I got no-bake cookie), and has a house drink menu with some specialty drinks too. I got the Real Maple Syrup Latte, which I thought was really good, and I loved the subtle sweetness of the maple syrup flavor.
The coffee hut is pretty small in terms of seating, but they have few tables on their patio for sitting down. It was a super fun and colorful stop on our trip out of town!
